We are currently recruiting for Agency Domiciliary Care Workers to join our team. As an Agency Domiciliary Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing personal care and support to individuals in their own homes, enabling them to live independently and maintain their quality of life. Your role may involve assisting with personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, housekeeping, and companionship. The pay is £12.50p/h which includes milage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to individuals in accordance with their care plans and individual needs.
  • Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and meal preparation.
  • Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring compliance with medication protocols.
  • Support individuals with mobility and transfer, using manual handling techniques and mobility aids as appropriate.
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals, promoting engagement and social interaction.
  • Promote and maintain the dignity, privacy, and independence of individuals at all times.
  • Report any changes in the health or well-being of individuals to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Follow all relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of both individuals and yourself.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • No formal qualifications required, although relevant training and experience in domiciliary care is preferred.
  • Experience in providing personal care and support to individuals in a similar role.
  • Good understanding of the principles of person-centered care.
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices related to domiciliary care.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with individuals, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility in working hours and shifts.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable mode of transportation.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one) to ensure suitability for working with vulnerable individuals.
