Have you at least three years' experience of stress analysis for mechanical engineering projects?

Are you comfortable with analytical tools (FEA, system analysis, Ansys) and carrying out structural analysis to a high standard suitable for external bodies?

Can you perform hand calculations from first principles?

We're looking for a Stress Engineer to provide analytical services to the mechanical design team and ensure that product designs meet the required level of integrity. Stress Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - FEA, Ansys, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Analysis

* Undertake analysis tasks (FEA, System Analysis, Rotordynamics) 
* Support manufacturing and purchasing concession requests
* Provide critique of analytical and design proposals to ensure product integrity
* Create engineering analysis cost estimations

* In-depth knowledge of structural analysis techniques, including fatigue analysis to the level required for component certification by outside bodies
* In-depth knowledge and hands on experience of the use of FEA software
* Ability to perform complex hand calculations from first principles
