As a Clinical Lead, you will:

  • Support the implementation of the agreed model of care.
  • Set and monitor standards of care, and take part in quality improvement programmes.
  • Adhere to Mental Health Act requirements for detained patients.
  • Manage unit resources effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with Risk Management and Health and Safety regulations.
  • Deputise for the Unit Manager and have 24-hour responsibility in their absence.
  • Efficiently use staffing resources, ensuring safe staffing levels.
  • Supervise junior staff, ensuring adherence to unit policies and procedures.
  • Motivate and act as a role model within the team.
  • Manage designated service areas/site during night duty rotation.
  • Encourage the development of social, family, and personal relationships for service users.
  • Take part in audits and data collection.
  • Provide clinical supervision and maintain high professional conduct.
  • Adhere to unit policies, guidelines, and relevant legislation.

To be successful as a Clinical Lead, you will need:

  • Valid NMC Pin Registration and adherence to professional regulation.
  • Willingness to work a 50/50 Clinical & Supernumerary Hours split.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to manage resources and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Dedication to promoting person-centred care.
  • Experience in quality improvement programmes and audits.
