Our client operates three established EBD Children's homes across Wolverhampton and Walsall, with a fourth on the way. They pride themselves on their GOOD ratings from OFSTED and offer a warm, welcoming environment where teamwork and support are key. They are dedicated to making the journey joyous and fun for the children and young people in their care.
As a Responsible Individual, you will:
- Communicate with Ofsted and attend feedback sessions.
- Oversee the management and delivery of services, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Supervise individual children's homes and the overall operation.
- Work closely with the Head of Care and Director to address operational concerns.
- Partner with Registered Managers and Deputy Managers to monitor staff development.
- Chair management meetings as needed.
- Maintain your own CPD and evaluate staff training effectiveness.
- Develop and establish care, accommodation, and support provisions.
- Ensure health and safety checks are completed on time.
- Implement and monitor continuous improvement plans for each home.
- Manage admissions, transitions, and discharges efficiently.
- Ensure the welfare and development of all children and staff.
- Report to the Head of Care and visit homes regularly.

- Experience in social care, specifically in a Registered Ofsted Children’s Home.
- A Level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- A UK Driving Licence.
- An understanding of legislation relevant to the profession.
- Confidence in dealing with people.
- Minimum of 2 years in roles requiring the supervision and management of staff in children's homes.
